District II Meeting

Meeting was called to order at 4:30 by Susan Doane.
Meeting minutes were approved as read. Unanimous
Laray gave the treasurer’s report $266.65 in savings, $7000.00 in a CD and $2331.46 in checking.
Patsy motion to accept treas report 2nd Moriah
New Business:
-Patsy motion we bid on state omoksee this year. 2nd Moriah passed
(Susan said the rodeo club will charge us $500.00 for the facility use.)
(We use the same bid as 2006 plus $200.00 more for facility)
-Bill motion we give the state $100.00 towards awards for a U8 event. Patsy 2nd, Wes 3rd, passed
-Peggy motion to audit books. Wes 2nd passed. Wes & Peggy will audit the books
-Patsy motion $1.00 rider fee that goes to district will be kept by each club this year 2009. Teresa 2nd, passed
-motion that the $5.00 time only fee goes back to the host club. Passed
-Moriah motion the budget for high points will be $700.00 this year. 2nd Patsy passed
-Moriah motion district awards for district show are 1-6th flat ribbon for all ages, and high point rosettes 1-6th for all ages also. Wes 2nd passed
-Moriah motion that year-end awards be 1-4 in adults and 12-15 age groups and 1-6th in U8 and 8-11 age groups. 2nd Bill passed
-Sissy will again put in our dates to be PAC approved on all our shows, points and fun days.
Awards committee will be Moriah, Sissy, Susan, & Patsy this year.

Memorial Day Helena Team Penners have under 8 $500.00 added show
Aug 6th dash for the cash show by Moriah Ogle, cash pay outs $5.00 an event, and a 3D barrel jackpot.

How we will vote for the state meeting:
1. U8 horse handlers -against
2. MSCA buy timers-computer & PA against.
3. On deck callers-line up barrels-yes
4. 360 8race-yes
5. Get rid of show classes-against
6. Awards for 1-6th, no 7-10 highpoint -against
7. Team & pair events race only 2 lanes, if changed to 12-15 and adult events then yes.
8. Awards on sat -yes
9. Participant medals to U8 & 8-11 at beginning of awards & high points, if changed yes
10. Add one game to all ages -no
11. Core games -yes
12. Remove records for book -no
13. Awards be comparable -yes
14. No
15. Family gets all fees back if there is a doctor or vet out. -yes

Under 8 speed barrels, polo turn, and mini pair
8-11 Speed barrels, polo turn, and sack race
12-15 speed barrels, polo turn, pair sack, and team arena
Adults speed barrels, polo turn, just an other pair, team arena
