District II Meeting

Meeting was called to order at 6:45 by Susan.

Peggy B read thank-you’s we have received about the State O-Mok-See.

The state will have to buy a new 4 wheeler axle (one of the axles was ripped off at state)
There was also a letter read about the way the queen was selected, and then an apology to all of the members and how the situation was handled.
We discussed that cops showed up on banquet night.
The rodeo club didn’t have any complaints about the grounds.

We owe Little Johns $50.00 to clean and winterize the port-a-potties.
We owe Sissy for buckets $64.00.
We owe $40.00 for the post office box for a year.
We voted to pay all of these bills. 1st by Marsha and 2nd by Wes.

Marsha made a motion to put thank-you’s in the Townsend, Helena, & Boulder papers.
2nd by Skip & passed.
Peggy B will take care of this.

Marsha made a motion to pay Aunt Lois for letting us use the Boulder arena for Districts.
2nd Skip and passed.

Susan motioned to donate pencils, notebooks, etc to the Townsend schools for letting us use their showers, up to $50.00.
Skip 2nd and passed. Peggy B will pick them up from Costco and give to Susan to give to the school.

Motion made by Peggy B that district will supply burgers, buns, hot dogs, and plates, and any other pop or candy that we had donate and left from state for District awards.
2nd by Wes passed

Awards will be Oct 7th at 1:00 at Karen McGowans garage, bring your own chairs, desserts, salad, and utensils.
Peggy B will send out postcards to all members.

An idea for state would be to put cell phone numbers or location where you can be located at state in case your horse gets sick.
